Well poo, it seems that about 5:30 yesterday in the afternoon my backup raid array failed on my home storage server. At least its a mirrored array so I just have to replace the faulty drive but its still a pain and another drive that I will have to buy :(

I'm currently working on prepping both the new web server, in this case an IBM E series Blade Center, and a new blog based on Movable Type 4. At that point I plan on moving all of the various posts from the random blogs I setup to the one central place that I will try and update on a regular basis :) Not to sure on the time frame, work has been quite busy lately and will only get worse over the next two months as my work gets closer to moving the office/datacenter.

Helped a friend on Sunday install his new bamboo flooring. Quite nice stuff if I do say so. If/when I ever get a house this is the stuff I'll be putting in.

Huge maintenance that I helped my friend in IT perform over the weekend, basically switched out all of our core firewalls and rebuild the server/management networks. Was fun except for that we started at 12:01am on Saturday and it took us a good 9-10 hours to finish up. Such is life I suppose. 1st image is me making a mess of the over-sized fiber jumpers in the tray at about 4 am. Next pic is my beautiful Fairlady waiting for me after a long night of work.
